Laura DeisleyFounding Director
Laura Deisley is Co-Founder of Reimagine:Ed and Director of Strategic Innovation at The Lovett School. This unique role includes a dynamic range of responsibilities including educational visioning, strategic management, partnerships, innovative teaching and learning, and the development of new learning spaces. She has designed and managed key relationships with The University of Virginia, the Georgia Institute of Technology, the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University; has facilitated national and regional teaching and learning cohorts; served on the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Innovation Task Force; is Co-Founder of the Atlanta K12 Design Challenge; and, is the Founding Director of Lab Atlanta. Laura serves on the Advisory Board of Wake Forest University’s Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship, and in 2015-16 she was honored to serve on the writing team for the new International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Student Standards
A 1984 graduate of Wake Forest with an honors degree in mathematical economics, Laura has worked at the intersection of the intersection of business, education and technology for over 30 years. Her experiences range from large corporate business to educational media, professional development, and design. Bringing a unique voice and energy to conversations about learning, design, civic engagement, and school change, she is a sought after consultant recognized for her integrity, strategic visioning, creative problem-solving, and vast network.
